Lake MXZ21 Winter MTB Boots - Wide Fit

Engineered with a wider fit than standard, and featuring a carbon fibre midsole and real rubber Mountain Competition sole, the MXZ21 Winter Boots deliver exceptional power transfer to your pedals while maintaining superb traction on slippery terrain. Whether you’re climbing muddy inclines or shouldering your bike on a winter hike-a-bike section, the larger tread blocks and secure MX Competition Last ensure stability, grip, and comfort. The refined fit - a snug heel and roomy toe box - provides race-level responsiveness without compromising natural movement or warmth, making it the ideal choice for performance-driven riders.

Weatherproof upper

The MXZ21 shoe’s windproof, water-resistant soft-shell upper, featuring Clarino microfibre construction, offers both durability and breathability. Reinforced with a seam-taped membrane barrier and DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, these boots withstand rain, mud, and grit while preventing water absorption. Regular DWR reapplication keeps them performing season after season, ensuring that when the weather worsens, you stay focused on the ride ahead.

Speed-lace system

The adjustable speed-lace system ensures a secure fit and quick adjustments on the go, ideally suited for long winter rides. And it's simple to use, even with winter gloves on, making it quick and easy to pull your Lake winter boots on and off.

Care:

The uppers are treated with a durable water-resistant (DWR) coating that will wear away over time. Lake recommend reapplying a DWR spray 1-2 times a year for moderate riders and every 2-3 wet rides for daily riders.

Pedal Compatibility

These off-road shoes are compatible with MTB and trekking pedal systems that utilise the 2-bolt cleat system, such as Shimano SPD, Look Trekking, X-Track, and Crankbrothers Candy.
