Lake CX178 Road Cycling Shoes

The Lake CX178 Cycling Shoes feature a redesigned last, lightweight materials, and a precision closure system, ensuring every pedal stroke is efficient, secure, and comfortable.

Anatomical Fit for Natural Foot Function

Built on a broader toe box, the CX178 supports natural toe splay and reduces compression, improving stability, alignment, and long-distance comfort. The stretch-resistant microfiber upper, featuring precision-cut ventilation ports, promotes airflow and moisture management while maintaining structural integrity. The anatomical design allows the forefoot to expand naturally under load, giving riders a secure yet comfortable fit that enhances performance and reduces fatigue.

Efficient Power Transfer with 60K Composite Nylon Sole

The stiff, lightweight nylon composite sole delivers exceptional power transfer while maintaining controlled flex for all-day comfort. Riders can fine-tune cleat placement with 9mm of toe-to-heel rail adjustability and extended midfoot positioning, optimising biomechanics and reducing strain. Expanded sole ventilation channels improve airflow, and oversized heel and toe walking pads provide added durability and traction when off the bike.

Precision Closure for Secure, Glove-Like Fit

The CX178 features a single BOA® L6 dial for fast, micro-adjustable tension across the midfoot, distributing pressure evenly and allowing quick entry and exit. Combined with the supportive upper, this closure system ensures a glove-like, secure hold throughout the pedal stroke, keeping your foot locked in position for maximum efficiency without sacrificing comfort.

Pedal Compatibility

These cycling shoes are compatible with road pedal systems that utilise the 3-bolt cleat system, such as Shimano SPD SL, Look Keo/Blade, Time Atac, etc...
